Train passenger attacked after telling two men to stop smoking in carriage

Transport police are hunting two men who attacked a train passenger after he told them to stop smoking in a carriage.

The passenger spoke to the men as he walked past them on the train from 00:45 train from Charing Cross to Gravesend.

One of the men jumped up from his seat and punched him repeatedly in the face.

The victim alighted at New Eltham.

British Transport Police said:

“Officers believe the men in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

“If you recognise them, or have any information, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 36 of 10/10/21.

“Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
