Boris Johnson and family on holiday last year in Scotland
Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his family have gone away to the West Country for a break.
However, Number 10 insists the PM is not on holiday.
Mr Johnson cut short his summer break to Somerset earlier last month when Kabul fell to the Taliban.
But he was criticised for being away as the situation in Afghanistan worsened.
Mr Johnson, wife Carrie and son Wilfred, left Downing Street for a few days in the countryside.
A spokesman said:
“The Prime Minister is away for the next two days in the West of England, but he is continuing to work and will be back in the office in Downing Street on Thursday.”
