Wetherspoons to open up 394 drinking areas from April 12th

J D Wetherspoon will open up drinking areas at 394 pubs in England when lockdown measures are eased from April 12th.

The pub chain will open beer and rooftop gardens as well as patio areas.

The premises will throw open their doors from 09.00 to 21.00 from Sunday to Thursday.

On Fridays and Saturdays, they will close an hour later.

There will be “reduced” menu offered across the whole week.

Chief executive John Hutson said:

“We are looking forward to welcoming our customers and staff back to our pubs.”

Pubs and restaurants in England will be able to serve customers outdoors from April 12th.

The decision is part of the road map out of the lockdown.

The hospitality industry has been hit hard by a series of lockdowns over the last 12 months.

Shops, hairdressers, and gyms will also return on the same date.
