Skydiver Siân Stokes who taught Tom Cruise loses “everything” after camper van was stolen

A Team GB skydiver who taught Tom Cruise how to dive for Mission: Impossible has “lost everything” after her camper van was stolen.

The grey Ford customised vehicle held her “whole life” she said.

The £30,000 van was taken from outside the home she shares with fiancé Ian Hodgkinson.

Siân Stokes, 33, from Nottinghamshire, said she might have to pull out of the world championships in August in Russia because all her kit has gone.

Siân said:

“There is literally our whole life in the van.

“I feel I have lost everything and don’t know which way to turn.

“Ian and I are full-time skydivers so rely on the van for our work.

“We are also part of the British team.

“But it looks like we will have to stand down due to a lack of funds.

“We’ll miss the World Championships in August.

“It’s so utterly sad”.

Siân and Ian taught Hollywood star Cruise how to jump for his Mission: Impossible film in 2017.

Siân said: “The van was not only a vehicle but somewhere we had created so many memories.

“It contained many sentimental items which cannot be replaced, along with so many belongings and equipment.

Two hooded youths were seen walking past the van parked in East Bridgford minutes before it was taken.

The police have CCTV of the incident.
