He is also an activist in the community and was once director of Soufriere Regional Development Foundation.

They were known by everyone. They were community members. “This is very sad,” one person said to the St Lucia Times.

A local resident posted on Facebook, “Still shaken. Near my family’s home, at a waterfront bar. Two people were killed. One died.”

According to reports, the incident sent shockwaves through Soufriere where residents claimed both men were well-known.

A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office stated that they were supporting the family of a British citizen who died and one who was injured in St Lucia.

Saint Lucia recorded 67 homicides in this year.
