England paceman Ollie Robinson given eight-match ban for posting offensive tweets

England fast bowler Ollie Robinson has been fined £3,200 and given an eight-match suspension following an investigation into offensive tweets he posted.

Robinson was a teenager when he made the comments – they came back to haunt him as he made his England debut last month.

The match ban includes five games suspended for two years – and he’s already served three others.

That means he will be available for selection immediately for the series against India due to start in weeks.
