A fourth paddle boarder has died as police arrest a woman on suspicion of manslaughter

A fourth paddle boarder has died following an incident in a Welsh river.

Andrea Powell, 41, was rescued from the River Cleddau in Haverfordwest last week.

But she later died in hospital.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested a woman from south Wales on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

She has been released pending inquiries.

Nicola Wheatley, 40, Paul O’Dwyer, 42, and Morgan Rogers, 24, also died in the incident.

They were in a party of nine paddle boarders who found themselves in difficulties.

A further five people were pulled out of the river by emergency services, but had no injuries.
