A rare gold Rolex 6062 watch has sold for £5 million at auction.
The black dial watch with diamond hour markers is one of the most expensive Rolex watches ever sold.
The much coveted 6062 model – introduced in the 50s – combines an automatic movement with a triple calendar and a moon phase dial.
Unusually, it still has the original gold tile bracelet.
It’s thought to be only one of three models from the 1953 production made even rarer by the black dial.
The 6062 has a waterproof 36 mm case.
The watch sold for £4.9 million at the Monaco Legend auction.
The same model was publicly sold 19 years ago for £210,000.
