Two Austrians have been charged with a crime after Adolf Hitler’s speeches were heard on the train loudspeaker.
Austrian news agency APA reported that “Heil Hitler” was heard on the train’s system between Bregenz, Austria and Vienna.
A Green Party member from Austria, who was in the train, tweeted: “In the RailJet 661, several calls for “Sieg Heil” were just broadcast over the loudspeaker! The train attendant was completely helpless.
I hope that a report will be issued and a clarification made as soon as possible!
In a response to another user on Twitter, he added: “First complete senseless stuff even funny stuff then suddenly a Hitler Speech and shouts for salvation. It was quite disturbing. “The train attendant had no idea what to do.”
Police tracked down the suspects who were not named by examining video footage from cameras aboard the train.
It is illegal to spread Nazi propaganda in Austria.
