Police have confirmed that one person was killed and another severely injured in a shooting at a Mercedes Benz factory in Germany.
The Bild newspaper, citing the police, reported that a suspect was detained following the shooting at Sindelfingen.
The police in Ludwigsburg, a nearby city, tweeted: “There’s a police operation going on at the factory.” Rescue workers and police are on duty.
There is no danger for the population.
Site reportedly assembles S-Class cars for the manufacturer.
Mercedes Benz confirmed that an incident occurred in Sindelfingen, and is in contact with the authorities.
