In a remote area of northern Queensland, Australia, two crocodiles were found to contain the remains of a missing Australian fisherman.
Kevin Darmody, a friend and Kevin’s fishing partner at the Kennedy River of Rinyirru National Park (Lakefield) on Saturday afternoon went missing.
The 65-year old woman from the town Laura is believed to have been taken after she moved near the water.
The friends who were present at the time didn’t see the attack but heard him yell and then hear a splash.
Bart Harrison told ABC News that he was not part of the group but a friend had told him about Mr Darmody’s desperate search.
“One of the guys that were with him came running out, waving his hands… saying, He’s gone, He’s gone,” Mr Harrison said.
“Nobody saw it happen. Everyone was fishing, doing their thing, and spread out along the banks.”
Rangers killed two crocodiles in the river upstream of where Mr Darmody disappeared during his search.
The police believe that the remains of the fisherman were found inside the crocodiles. They measured 4.1m (13.4ft), and 2.8m (9.5ft).

The search and rescue operation in Lakefield has been suspended at this time. The police will prepare a report to be submitted to the coroner.
Mr Darmody’s last sighting was at Kennedy Bend in the National Park.
