The document, also known as an affidavit is eight pages in length. The document was written by an FBI agent who conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of Mr Teixeira. It contains a lot of new and interesting information.

The trail that leads to Jack Teixeira
It is important to note that the FBI tracked down and interviewed another member of a small closed chat group on the “Discord” social media platform. The FBI has tracked down another member of a small chat group that was closed on the social media platform “Discord”.
The interview took place at the start of the week. The user is identified as “user 1”.
The FBI claims that the user informed their agents the chat group used was to “discuss current and historical conflicts and geopolitical issues”.
Posting photos of classified documents
The next paragraph, 16, shows that documents were not initially posted in the chat group.
Instead, paragraphs were published. In January of this year, however, photographs of classified documents started to appear.
Identification of the suspect
Paragraph 18 tells us that the user who was interviewed said he had spoken to the man, now identified as Mr Teixeira, several times via video call or voice call. The FBI concluded visual identification was possible.

The report also claims that the person, now believed by the authorities to be Mr Teixeira had been worried that he might be caught trancribing classified documents, which led him to bring them home and photograph them.
The paragraph 21 gives hints as to how the FBI was able to identify Mr Teixeira.
They claim that the information provided by their witnesses (users 1) enabled them to access billing details for Discord. They were given a name, Jack Teixeira, and an address in Massachusetts.
A line-up of identities
Paragraph 22 states that the FBI requested their witness to participate in a strange identity line-up. They had access to Mr Teixeira’s driving licence. The photo was shown alongside random photos of driving licenses.
The witness, user 1, identified Mr Teixeira.
Top Level Security Clearance
The key is in paragraph 24.
Details of Mr Teixeira’s clearance. Since 2021, he had been granted Top Secret clearance and also clearance to access documents classified “Sensitive Compartmentalised Acces (SCI).”
