Donald Trump claimed that he was the victim of election interference. He condemned Alvin Bragg, New York District Attorney, for bringing criminal charges against his character – just hours after his arrest.
After flying in from New York, the former US President addressed a crowd of approximately 500 people in his Mar-a-Lago estate ballroom.
The 76-year old said that he never thought of anything similar in America, his first remarks since being charged with 34 counts for falsifying business records.
He stated, “The only crime that I have committed was to fearlessly defend my nation from those who seek its destruction.”

Then he told the crowd that America “is going to hell” and that even “not big fans” of him had said that this “shouldn’t be happening”.
He stated that the fake case was only brought to interfere with the 2024 elections and should be dropped immediately.
Trump continued to state that Hillary Clinton had deleted 33,000 emails, and “that was okay.” He added: “But no one has done it as well as Joe Biden.”
He claimed that the US president had “classified documents which he took while he was senator” – a reference to last year’s FBI raid at his Florida estate. And that Mr Biden is not being harassed or hounded “like the people who work for us”.
“There is no case”
He referred back to his indictment and said that “this is a persecution. Not an investigation”, but that “our heads were held very high”.
Trump told the crowd then that legal analysts and pundits had said that “there is no case”
He claimed that he met with a local failed district attorney on Tuesday, who was charged for the first-ever time with the charges against a former president of America.
“Every pundit and every legal analyst has said that there is no case.” He said that virtually everyone believed him.

He claimed that the “criminal” is Mr Bragg, referring to him as he “illegally accessed massive amounts of grand juror information”.
He said, “Hope is never lost. Many prosecutors in the DA’s office also quit because I was being treated unfairly.” How about that? Isn’t that amazing? They are my favorite. They are my favorite.
“In New York, overall crime was up 30% last yea – significantly more than the previous year, with massive increases in felony assaults and robberies.”
US is a “mess”
Trump stated that New York was “not the same place as I know”.
He slammed Mr Bragg’s family and said, “This is where you are right now.” I have a Trump-hating Judge with a Trump hating wife and family. My daughter worked for Kamala Harir.”
He continued by saying, “This is where we are as nations” and that the US was “a mess”.
He said, “With all this being said and with the dark cloud over our beloved nation, I have no doubt we will make America great again.”
