Ukraine war news – Russia cannot get the story straight on blogger “assassination”
She was transferred from St Petersburg, Russia to Moscow, where she will appear at Basmanny District Court later Tuesday.
Maxim Fomin was Mr Tatarsky’s real name and he was a well-known supporter Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine. Telegram had over 560,000 of his followers.
Russia’s Investigation Committee claims that Ms Trepova was given instructions to detonate the explosion by Ukrainian special forces.
They believe that she is also an “active supporter of the Navalny Anti-Corruption Foundation. This foundation was founded by Alexei Navalny, a Russian opposition leader.
Investigators claim that Ms Trepova concealed a bomb in a bust of the blogger she gave as a gift to him just before the explosion.
She is currently being held in pre-trial custody, just before her court hearing.
