Gwyneth Paltrow’s claim fellow skier crashed into her not ‘plausible’ because of accuser’s injuries, court told

A US court has ruled that the injury sustained by Gwyneth paltrow’s accuser was not plausible.

According to a radioologist, Terry Sanderson, 76 showed “typical characteristics” of a trauma brain injury and “deteriorated abruptly” following the 2016 incident at the Deer Valley Resort in Utah.

After allegedly hitting him from behind, Mr Sanderson, a retired optometrist is now suing Hollywood star for $300,000. (PS245,000). He was left unresponsive and with many broken ribs.

However, Paltrow 50 years old, who is also lifestyle influencer, denies the claims. Her lawyer called Mr Sanderson’s version “utter BS”.

Her legal team told Utah jurors that Sanderson crashed into her in Park City. She sustained what they called a “full-body blow”.

The court heard that Dr Wendell Gibby (radiologist) examined Sanderson after the crash and said that he would have “protected” himself if he had collided head-on with Paltrow.

He said, “It’s unlikely that Terry ran into Gwyneth paltrow.”

“It is unlikely that he would have broken his chest ribs if he ran into her. He would likely have extended his arms to protect himself.

“Had he not run into her, I doubt he would have suffered these kinds of injuries.”

Dr Gibby spoke in court about the life of Mr Sanderson before 2016. He said: “Terry was a high-functioning, high energy person. He was always doing a lot of things every day.

“But after his accident, he deteriorated abruptly, and many of his activities he used do he stopped doing, like dancing, for most part, his ski activities.

His relationships with his grandchildren and children were difficult and he struggled to multitask. He would often forget why he was at Home Depot. These are typical signs of someone with a traumatic brain injury.

Craig Ramon was first witness to testify.

“Paltrow never spoke a word after hitting another skier and running’

Dr Gibby said: “In Terry’s case… He was a respected guy, but I believe he lost some connection. He had difficulty maintaining his friendships and relationships.

Terry lost his ability to function at a high standard. Many of the things that brought him joy in life appear to have been ruined by the injury.

The hearing continues.
