Rishi Sunak, the Rishi Sunak of Rishi International, has stated that Australia, the United States, and the UK will collaborate to “keep our oceans clean” by developing a new generation nuclear-powered attack submarines.
To announce the next phase of the Aukus partnership, Mr Sunak met with Joe Biden US President and Anthony Albanese the Australian Prime Minister in San Diego.
As part of its efforts to counter Chinese activity in the Pacific Ocean, Australia will receive nuclear-powered submarines under the plan.
The Aukus partnership, which was first announced in 2021 and was Australia’s response to China’s actions. The UK published an integrated review of its foreign and security policies in 2021. It highlights China’s “more aggressive position”.
“For the first ever time, it will mean three fleets de submarines working together across the Atlantic and Pacific. This will keep our oceans open, free, and prosperous for many decades to come,” Mr Sunak stated.
He said that the collaboration would produce “one of the world’s most advanced submarines” and would replace the seven Astute-class subs.
On Monday, Mr Sunak made an announcement at a security review. He announced that PS5bn would be added for defense. This will help to develop the next phase in the Aukus program.
The UK will also provide expertise in the construction of the SSN-Aukus boats. This will create jobs at British shipyards in Barrow-in-Furness, Derby and other locations.
They will be operational for the Royal Navy in the late 2030s.

Royal Navy insiders say that although there is no confirmation of how many hunters-killers will be ordered, it could double the size of the fleet.
The deal includes three US-powered nuclear-powered submarines of the Virginia class.
Biden stated that the US could not ask for better partners than Australia and the UK when it comes to protecting the Pacific.
Albanese stated that the program will lead to a $6bn Australian Dollar (PS3.3bn), investment in the country’s industrial capabilities over the next four-years.
Australia’s boats, which will use parts made in the UK, will be constructed in the southern part of the country. They will go into service in the 2040s.
Three nations insist that the deal does not increase nuclear proliferation risk. The vessels carrying conventional weapons will seal the nuclear reactors shut.

Biden accepts an invitation to Northern Ireland
During the same visit Mr Biden stated that he will visit Northern Ireland to commemorate the 25th anniversary the Good Friday Agreement.
When Mr Sunak met with the president at Point Loma naval base in San Diego, Mr Biden stated: “It is my intention to travel to Northern Ireland, and the Republic.”
Mr Sunak invited the president to his home, and he said that “we’d love for you to have us over”, to which Mr Biden responded: “Twenty five years?” It feels like yesterday.”
