The murder of a model’s ex-in-laws has been brought forward by the former spouses.
Abby Choi’s father-in law and eldest son were accused of murdering the 28-year old model. Her mother-inlaw is facing one count of perverting justice, Hong Kong police said.
Superintendent Alan Chung stated that Ms Choi’s ex husband has been also arrested and will be charged with murder.
On Friday, officers discovered a portion of her body and her credit card.
Her body was dissected, and the remains were kept in a refrigerator in a Tai Po rural house near the border with China.
On Sunday, Mr Chung updated us by saying that a skull of a young woman, thought to be Ms Choi, was found in one of the many cooking pots they had seized.
The officer stated that there was a hole in the skull’s right side. This suggests that the pathologist thinks that the victim should die.
Police say that a meat slicer, electric saw, as well as several ribs and hair were all found on the spot.
Mr Chung said that forensic pathologists found a few human bones in another pot.
They still need to find her hands and torso.
According to Mr Chung, it is believed that Ms Choi was attacked by a car and was then unconscious when she arrived at her home.
It is not known when death occurred.
Mr Chung stated that authorities believe Ms. Choi was involved in financial disputes involving tens to millions of Hong Kong dollars – with HK$1m, the equivalent of approximately PS107,000.
According to the police superintendent, Ms Choi’s ex husband, his family, and “some people”, were unhappy with her handling of financial assets.
Ms. Choi lived a glamorous lifestyle of fashion shows and photo shoots with over 100,000 followers on social networks.
Her last post was one week ago and featured a photoshoot that she did with L’Officiel Monaco, a fashion magazine.
Police believe that a woman is the mistress of her father in-law and she was also arrested for allegedly aiding the other suspects.
