He didn’t miss his targets or fluff his lines on the big occasion. This was unlike the Joe Biden at so many other occasions.
Too many people think that it is better to let him go than to watch him.
Too much is said about the 80-year-old president. He seems too old, infirm, and incapable of running for another term for the White House.
He has stated that he will stand again, and strong hints point to an announcement very soon.
This is why the State of the Union was important to Biden the Candidate – it served as a political platform and setpiece.
His retrospective felt like a launch, his self-assessment returns that saw him turn the economy around, save democracy, and restore the nation’s soul.
It was a vision for work done and work in progress.
Whatever Mr Biden delivered as President – and he has won legislative victories – to the voters, it seems that they have forgotten.
Prior to the big speech, opinion polls showed that most people don’t believe he has achieved much in his presidency. Most Democrats don’t want him running for another term.
He cannot shake this negative perception and must adjust his strategy accordingly.

He can make the next election a repeat of last year, stability over chaos.
He won the fight in 2020, so he can expect Democrats to support him again, especially if he is running against Donald Trump.
Biden’s State of the Union speech will be followed by campaigning in a variety of states.
He believes that the time is now to change the direction of the tides, as opinion pollsters have kept him in the loop for most of his presidency.
The president is now throwing punches in this political rope-adope.
