A polar bear attacked and killed a boy and a girl in remote Alaska.
According to local news station KTUU, State Troopers reported that they received the attack report at 2.30pm (11.30pm UK Time) Tuesday in Wales, at the western tip on the Seward Peninsula.
Troopers wrote that initial reports indicated that a polar bear entered the community and chased several residents.
“The bear attacked and killed an adult female and a juvenile male.”
Troopers said that the bear attacked the couple and was shot by a local resident.
Troopers did not release the names of the victims, but they said that they were trying to notify relatives.
The dispatch stated that Troopers and the Department of Fish and Game of the state are going to Wales when the weather permits.
