According to his team, the American football player who experienced cardiac arrest while playing in a game “has shown remarkable improvements over the last 24 hours.”
The Buffalo Bills stated that Damar Holliday, 24 was still “critically ill”, but that he had “proved that he seems to be neurologically sound”.
He is still in intensive care at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he was told that his lungs are healing and that he is making steady improvements.
Since Monday evening, he has been in critical condition at the hospital after he fell on the Ohio city field.

After being injured during a match against Cincinnati Bengals, the defensive back fell to the ground and received CPR for approximately 10 minutes.
In the incident, he collided with Tee Higgins, Bengals wide receiver.
Hamlin was able to stand up and adjust his helmet, before falling backwards and lying motionless.
According to the Bills, his heart stopped just before his heartbeat was “restored” by medical staff.
He was apparently given oxygen after his football shirt was removed.
The game was suspended and then postponed. However, the Bills’ match against New England Patriots this weekend will go ahead as planned.
