Christiano Ronaldo declared that he “won everything” in Europe when he was revealed with Al Nassr, a Saudi Arabia club.
The Portuguese player won the prestigious Ballon d’Or five times and the Champions League five. He also counts numerous Premier League, La Liga, and Serie A titles as trophies.
Ronaldo said he turned down many top clubs after a bitter split with Manchester United in November. Instead, he signed a contract with Al Nassr until 2025.
After Piers Morgan had criticised United in a TV interview, his agreement with United was ended.
Many outlets reported that the salary of the former United, Real Madrid, and Juventus forward is in excess of PS160m per year. This makes him the highest-paid footballer ever.
Ronaldo stated that he felt very good during his first public appearance as a member of his new club. This is a big decision that I made in my life.
“In Europe my work is done. I won everything. I played at the best clubs in Europe. Now it’s a new challenge.
This is a fantastic opportunity. This is something that nobody knows, but I had many opportunities in Europe and many clubs in Brazil, Australia, the US, and even Portugal.
“Major clubs tried to sign me, but I made my promise to this club to help develop the football and other aspects of our amazing country.”
