The incident occurred in Nayarit on Mexico’s west coast, approximately 650 miles from the border with the USA. At least 47 people were treated for injuries.
According to prosecutors, the incident occurred on a rural road in rural Georgia on Friday.
According to police, all those aboard were from Leon, Guanajuato.
Mexico is not unusual to have friends and family share the cost of renting a bus for a trip to the beach.
45 of them were receiving treatment in hospital.
Investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
Similar crashes in the past were caused by poor maintenance, bad weather, speeding, and substandard highways.
