Spanish police arrested one of the FBI’s most wanted men during a raid on Madrid.
According to reports, the man is from New Zealand and is being sought in the US for sexual exploitation, assault, and indecent images.
According to Spanish police, the suspect, identified as MJP by Spanish authorities, is also wanted for illicit gains.
According to some reports, he has earned more than $17 million through his alleged crimes.
After registering with one of his false identities, the man was taken into custody in Madrid.
It was the result of a joint operation by the FBI, US Marshals, and INTERPOL in Spain.
Spanish Policia Nacional tweeted the video of the arrest on Sunday.
The US prosecution alleges that the man was involved with pornography production, deceiving minors and young women and making more than $17million.
He is accused of paying other women to “bait and convince” his victims that the recorded material would not go public.
The alleged victims testified that they were held at times against their will at recording locations and not allowed to leave until the producers had satisfied them.
It is possible that they were forced to perform sexual acts they had refused to do previously.
Prosecutors claim that the content ended up on pornographic websites.
In September, the US issued an International Arrest Warrant. The FBI also included him as one of its 10 “most wanted” suspects.
