Montpellier: A boy was killed during clashes between Morocco and France fans after the World Cup semi-final.
According to the local government office, the boy was violently hit by a car in the southern part of France on Wednesday.
The Department of Herault stated that he was taken to the hospital but died soon after arriving.
Police are currently investigating the incident after the vehicle was discovered near the scene.
Social media video shared by crowds showed people milling around a car that was being driven erratically.
France and Morocco fans also clashed in Paris after the game. The crowds were dispersed by police in riot gear.
France had earlier secured their place at the World Cup final in Qatar. They beat Morocco 2-0 . They will face Argentina in Sunday’s final.
