A five-year-old girl’s body was found in a cement-filled wooden box that her mother had been using as a table.
After her father called them about her disappearance, Milagros Nazareth Mart’s body was discovered by officers in Buenos Aires.
Vanesa Mansilla was allegedly charged with “culpable murder” for the girl’s mother.
According to legend, she told the father first that she had placed her child in social services care because of the conditions at home.
She reportedly confessed that her daughter had died, but she didn’t know what to do.
She was afraid her two other children, aged seven and three, would be taken away so she placed her body in a bag. Then, she put it into a box filled with cement from a nearby building.
An investigator from Telam, a local news agency, said that she used the box with its body as a bedside table in her room.
Milagros died of a respiratory infection from pre-existing conditions. She was required to have a tube and a traceostomy after her death.
A spokesperson for the judiciary stated that there was no evidence of any previous complaints of gender violence.
Telam was told by an investigator that her mother had admitted to her daughter’s death.
The investigator stated that she said everything happened after bathing her children one afternoon.
She went to sleep and when she woke up, she saw the girl had already died. She claimed that her nose was swollen and she had some drool in the mouth.
According to reports, the emergency search was ordered after relatives notified authorities.
According to reports, Milagros’s brothers were placed in the care and supervision of their grandmother.
