‘Powerful explosions’ behind two Nord Stream leaks, Danish police say

Copenhagen Police stated in a statement that a preliminary examination of damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines in Denmark’s Baltic Sea showed that they were caused by “powerful explosives”.

According to the force, further investigations into the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 ruptures in Denmark’s exclusive economy zone on 26 September would be conducted jointly by Copenhagen Police and Denmark’s Security and Intelligence Service.
