Police have confirmed that three sisters died in the aftermath of a violent incident at their Dublin home.
The girl, along with her younger siblings, were transported by ambulance to Children’s Health Ireland in Crumlin. However, all three were later declared dead.
Officers responded to calls at 12.30 on Sunday to Tallaght’s Rossfield Estate. They described the incident as challenging, violent, and traumatizing.
A teenager boy was also transported to the hospital with severe injuries. However, they are not considered life-threatening.
The Garda Armed Suspension Unit later arrested a man in his 20s.
He is currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station, in accordance with Section 4 of 1984’s Criminal Justice Act.
The mother of the children was not hurt and was taken to CHI. She is currently being treated for medical reasons.
Gardai stated that all involved are believed to know each other, and officers aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
