Boris Johnson stated that high energy bills are something UK residents must bear in order to resist Vladimir Putin. He was returning to Ukraine to celebrate Ukraine’s independence day.
The prime minister was photographed in Kyiv together with President Volodymyr Zilenskyy, and was presented an award by the Ukrainian leader.
The Prime Minister stated that “if we pay in our energy bills for Vladimir Putin’s evils, then the people of Ukraine will also be paying in their blood”.
Johnson made his final trip to Ukraine before he resigned. He set out PS54 million more in military aid, including drones that would target Russian forces.
On Twitter, Johnson stated that “What happens to Ukraine matters to all of us.”
“That’s why I’m here in Kyiv today. This is why the UK will continue its support for our Ukrainian friends.
“I believe Ukraine can win this war.”

Johnson announced the most recent package of support for Ukraine. It includes unmanned surveillance and missile system.
It also contains 2,000 drones and anti-tank looting munitions. It also contains 850 Black Hornet micro-drones that can be launched manually, which can be used for live streaming and still images.
Johnson appealed to the international community not to change their course in Ukraine.
He stated that the United Kingdom had stood shoulder-to-shoulder alongside Ukraine for the past six-months, supporting the sovereign country in its defense against the barbaric and illegal invasion.
“Today’s support package will give the resilient and brave Ukrainian Armed Forces an additional boost in capabilities, allowing them continue fighting for their freedom and pushing back Russian forces.”
“What happens to Ukraine is important to us all. That is why I am here today, to convey the message that the United Kingdom will be there for you in the days and weeks ahead. You can win and you will win.”
