Elon Musk revealed that he met with Pope Francis as he broke his nine-day silence via Twitter, the social media giant he’s trying to buy.
The world’s wealthiest man declared he was honored when he tweeted a picture of himself with the Catholic Church’s head, along Musk and his four teenage boys.
Musk’s transgender child , who requested to legally change her name last week because she doesn’t want to be related to her father, was not present at the event.
It was not immediately clear what the purpose of Musk’s meeting with Pope Francis was.
Musk shared the image minutes before it was posted. However, Musk also shared an older photo of him celebrating his 40th Birthday in Venice with Talulah Riley, a British actress.
He tweeted the image alongside the caption “Venice: A site of Great Remembrance”.
Musk, who is the father of eight children, posted his first tweet in nine days on Twitter after he had been unusually quiet on social media.

Last month, it was reported that Twitter would allow Musk to access its “firehose”, which contains raw data for hundreds of millions of daily Twitters. This will enable him to push forward his proposal to buy Twitter.
After relegating Jeff Bezos, Amazon founder, to second place in the last four years, Musk was crowned the world’s wealthiest man in April.
It was estimated that he was worth $219bn (PS166bn), after adding $68bn over the past year.
