'State terrorism': Zelenskyy releases video showing Russian missile hit shopping centre

Volodymyr Zelenskyy claims Russia deliberately targeted a shopping center in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. He released a video of a missile striking the building.

The Ukrainian president stated that it was obvious that this was true in his nightly address. He also said that Moscow wanted to “kill as many people” as possible as part of an “act state terrorism”.

He stated to the Ukrainian people that he was providing “a piece of evidence” in order that no one would be able to deceive about what had occurred.

Mr Zelenskyy stated that the Russian missile had deliberately hit this object. That was evidently the order.

“It is evident that Russian assassins were given such coordinates for the missile.

“They wanted as many people killed as possible in peaceful cities, in regular shopping malls.”

The president said that Russia would be responsible for the act of state terror, just like for all other terrorist acts.

“On the battlefield of Ukraine, through the strengthening of sanctions, and, of course in the tribunal.”

“Russia wanted to kill all possible”

After the incident , at least 18 people were reported to have been killed and 36 others are still missing.

Russia claimed that the mall was empty and had hit an arms depot nearby.

However, wounded survivors such as Ludmyla Mykhailets (43), who claimed she was shopping at the store when the blast sent her “head first” into the air, refuted that assertion.

Sky News spoke with a man who sustained injuries and said that he would be fine physically but “morally stunned”.
