According to local media, police in Paris opened fire on a vehicle trying to hit them. Two people were killed and a third was injured.
It happened Sunday night near Pont Neuf, the centre of Paris.
According to some, the driver of the vehicle and the passenger in the front were the ones who died.
A woman was sitting in the backseat and was taken to hospital. Reports suggest that bullets struck her arm.
Le Figaro newspaper was told by a witness that a car was parked in an incongruous direction on Vert-Galant square. Police approached the vehicle to check its safety. They pointed automatic weapons at the driver.
“The driver ran at top speed towards the police. “The police immediately fired.”
