A man in his 20s was charged with the murders in Ireland of two men.
Aidan Moffitt (42), and Michael Snee (58), were both found dead at their homes in Sligo, on the west coast, earlier this week.
After appearing in court at Sligo District Court, Yousef Palani (22), was taken into custody. He was charged with murder and assault.
As he was being escorted to court, he was heckled by the crowds.

After Mr Snee’s corpse was discovered in his apartment on Tuesday, he was taken into custody.
Aidan Glacken, Garda superintendent, said that Mr. Snee had been the victim of “serious physical assault” and suffered serious injuries.
At 8.30 p.m. on Monday, Mr Moffitt was found dead in his Cartron Heights home. Gardai also reported that he had suffered “significant physical injuries”.
Moffitt was an activist for Fine Gael and a peace commissioner in his area.
As part of their murder investigation, Gardai are also investigating another incident in the Sligo region.
The small community was shocked by the murders and plans to hold vigils across the island to remember the men.
